TedX Victoria - "It's Up to Us!"

Event Photography

Back in early 2024, one of my Digital Production instructors let our class now that the folks at RedBrick were hosting a TEDx Talk on May 15, 2024, and they were looking for digital production students to photograph the event. I signed up right away, and started collaborating with the staff at RedBrick on creating a small social media campaign of local business owners answering questions about the TEDx theme, "It's Up to Us". I organized filming the business owners and then collaborated with the team to edit an Instagram reel to be released before the big event.


When the big day arrived, I was so excited and nervous to get to put my new photography skills to work. I collaborated with another photographer to ensure that we captured shots of the speakers in the theater, the attendees talking during breaks, and other fun or interesting moments throughout the day. It was an absolute blast and really challenged my photography and composition skills!
